SPRING

Apple blossom, sunny walks, flowers as far as the eye can see...

From the beginning of March, you can watch nature awaken from its winter slumber. The location on the southern side of the Alps allows nature to flourish and invites you to take beautiful, warm walks, stroll through the city and enjoy ice cream.

 

Highlights:

The apple blossom turns our entire valley into a sea of white and pink for a few weeks

The crocus blossom on our local mountain is also a real spectacle

The flower-filled promenade in the spa town of Merano (12km) invites you to stroll, shop and eat ice cream

The botanical diversity of South Tyrol can be admired in the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle. The gardens are also worth a visit in summer and fall.

Autumn

A quiet autumn hike in the colorful forests or between the yellow-colored vines with sugared mountain peaks in the background and then enjoy a delicious Törggele menu...

In autumn everything becomes a little quieter and you can enjoy the peace and beauty of a colorful, warm sea of colors with still mild temperatures and the best visibility...

 

Highlights:

Hiking and cycling are still possible at this time of year and offer a real feast for the eyes!

The numerous irrigation canal paths around Merano/Meran are popular walking trails where you can experience South Tyrol's cultural landscape up close.

On the wine and chestnut trails, you can learn exciting and interesting facts about South Tyrolean specialties.

Cyclists can pedal along Italy's oldest wine route in mild temperatures until late into the fall. The cycle paths are suitable for young and old and lead through apple orchards and vineyards, past medieval castles to wineries that invite you to taste top-class wines.

Autumn is also harvest time and you can taste and take home the freshly harvested delicacies. 

The traditional Törggelen takes place from the beginning of October to the end of November. Stop in and let yourself be spoiled by new South Tyrolean wine, chestnuts and South Tyrolean farmhouse cuisine.

Natural pool Gargazzone

Our excursion tip - sustainable, natural & close!

Sustainably built, naturally designed and easily accessible - the Gargazon natural pool is an asset to our village!

There is a stream with a toddlers' pool, a non-swimmers' area, a 50-meter pool for athletes and a diving pool.

Soft, living water, kept clean by natural microorganisms and a habitat for rare dragonfly species await you. Water that is good for everyone: allergy sufferers, swimmers, parents with small children.

Children's play equipment, a beach volleyball court, table tennis and table football tables, sun loungers, umbrellas, picnic tables and spacious wooden jetties provide comfort and fun.

The bistro with its large terrace and the Naturbar Tennis are popular places for a culinary break.

Located right next to the train station and the cycle path, the Gargazon natural pool is just a few minutes away. Opening hours and prices can be found here:
